第46回日本川崎病学会・学術集会開催に際して
Greetings from Chiba, Japan: the 46^th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Kawasaki Disease

2026年10月2日、3日に千葉市において第46回日本川崎病学会・学術集会を開催することとなりました。一言ご挨拶を申し上げます。
　この学術集会のテーマを「川崎富作生誕100年を越えて〜オールジャパンで研究を繋ぐ〜」としました。昭和元年生まれの川崎先生は今年2月7日に生誕100年を迎えました。この会を次の100年の川崎病研究の展望を語り合う会にしたいと思います。会場は一カ所とし、皆で討論し、川崎病診療・研究の歴史が最も長く患者さんも多い日本だからこそできる活動を皆で模索してゆきましょう。開催半年後には国際川崎病シンポジウムが幕張で開催されます。世界に日本の研究ビジョンを示したい、その為の討論を期待しています。1日目夕には渾身の力を込めて懇親会を企画します。旧交を深め、新しい友人を見つけて下さい。2日目には診断・治療・遠隔期管理の初歩から最新知見まで学べる教育セッション＆心エコーハンズオンを計画しています。今や川崎病は冠動脈をモニターしながら診療する時代だと思っています。診療技術が必要です。若手医師、臨床検査技師の参加をお待ちしています。
　昔からの歓楽街のそばで開催します。千葉は宿泊もリーズナブルです。自然、食材に溢れた千葉で皆様のお越しをお待ちしております。どうしても来られない方はハイブリッドでどうぞ。海外からの参加もお待ちしています。

　The 46th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Kawasaki Disease will be held in Chiba City on October 2 and 3, 2026.
　The theme of this meeting is “Beyond the Centennial of Tomisaku Kawasaki: Connecting Research Across All of Japan.” Born in 1925, Dr. Kawasaki celebrated his 100th birthday on February 7th this year. We aim to make this meeting a forum for discussing the vision for Kawasaki disease research over the next 100 years. With a single venue, let us all engage in discussion and explore activities that only Japan—with its longest history of Kawasaki disease diagnosis, treatment, and research, and its large patient population—can undertake. Six months after this meeting, the International Kawasaki Disease Symposium (IKDS) will be held in Makuhari, Chiba, Japan. We hope to present Japan's research vision to the world and look forward to discussions that will help achieve this. On the first evening, we will host a social gathering planned with our maximum effort. Please deepen old friendships and make new ones. On the second day, we plan educational sessions covering everything from the basics to the latest findings in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management, along with a hands-on echocardiography workshop. We believe we are now in an era where Kawasaki disease is treated while monitoring the coronary arteries. Clinical skills are essential. We look forward to the participation of young physicians and clinical laboratory technologists.
　All sessions will be delivered in a hybrid Zoom. We welcome participants from overseas.
